With the founding of the GDR, the ornithologists of Leipzig reopened their work in the form of a specialist group, which consisted of the remains of the ornithological association, which was dissolved after the Second World War.
Nine of them report sixty years of observing and documenting a constantly changing bird world: a landscape to which many birds can only adapt with difficulty, and a society that is gradually evading the 136-year-old club.
